In partnership with UNDP and the Taraba State Government, FPHCM carried out a project on Support for Social Stability and Security in the Middle Belt and Northeast.
The project worked through existing structures — religious, ethnic, political and regional community leaders — to promote peaceful coexistence and inter-religious and intercultural dialogue.
Traditional and government leaders and security personnel, including soldiers, police, civil defence, vigilantes and community leaders, were fully engaged in community mobilisation and regular review meetings. Interventions included awareness raising through SBCC/IEC, community mobilisation, training and capacity building.
